This mountain cookie is inspired by Lizard Head Peak in the Wind River Range in Wyoming. It is 10”x 8.5” at it’s widest dimensions. This is carved on a cookie of pine beetle kill wood. When the pine beetle bores into a pine tree it leaves the tree vulnerable to fungus that helps kill the tree which results in the unique colors in it’s wood grain.
